zooming

Is there a way I can create a zoom onto a photo anywhere other than the
center of the photo?

Right now, when you do the grow/shrink, it will only go to the middle of the
picture. I want to zoom in on another part of the picture, and it is such
that I can't crop it to make it work. Thanks.

Not very sure what you meant.
Do you mean applying the grow/shrink emphasis effect?
Do you want to apply grow/shrink effect on a specific part of the photo
instead of zooming in/out as a whole picture itself?

sorry for confusion.

Right now, to make the slide show "zoom" in on a part of the photo, I use
the grow/shrink effects (the growing part, obviously). However, when I do
this, it only will zoom in on the middle of the item. So I want it to do
exactly that, except I want it to zoom in somewhere other than the middle
(say the upper right corner, for example). Does that clarify at all?

Hi Brian

Try this

Set the picture as the background. (format>background>fill effects>picture

Draw a rectangle or circle where you want the zoom. In format autoshape set
the line to none and the color to background. Now zoom the rectangle. You may
need to play a bit to get the effect you want.

I may have misunderstood!

Would this help

add your zoom but also add a motion path line down and left "with previous".
The combined effect would be to zoom in on the top right.

Thanks - that worked perfectly - it's a little "jerky," but it will do the
trick. Thanks!
