I have downloaded XP Home into my computer from ME. I am unable to replace, download or have a icon for Zone Alarm Free. I did have it with ME but had to remove it when downloaded XP. I am now receiving an error message as followed
"The procedure entry point tvGetIntergrity User Name could not be located in the dynamic link library VSPUBAPI.dll"

One other windows has come up with the following info: DLL library. c:\Windows\System32\VSUTIL.dll (WSEInit). This shows up whern I tried to UNINSTALL Zone Alarm

I am now really up on the inside of this comouter so make it in lay mans terms

Tks

Not sure what you mean by downloaded XP Home in your Computer from
ME...you'll need to explain that. If you mean you upgraded your computer
from ME to Home, that makes sense.

As to Zone Alarm, you should really remove a firewall before doing an
upgrade install. Second, depending upon how long you've had Zone Alarm,
it's likely the version you have is not compatible with XP as earlier
versions are not compatible with XP. Have you checked the Zone Labs website
for the latest XP compatible version of Zone Alarm?

My guess is your system is trashed and your going to have to start over but
you might try checking the zone labs website, www.zonelabs.com for tech help
with this issue or contact their tech support.

You didn't mention if you tried to install Zone Alarm again. Probably
something to do with registry entries during install.

From RUN type in "msconfig.exe" (no quotes). When the system
configuration editor opens, click on the startup tab. Remove the
check mark from the box that says "zlclient". Click on the services
tab. Look for "TrueVector Internet Monitor". When you come to it,
right click and select manual. Get out of the configuration editor
and reboot your machine. The errors should stop.

Now try downloading the free version of ZA from www.zonelabs.com and
installing it again. Both vspubapi.dll and vsutil.dll are Zone Alarm
dynamic link library files and are needed in order to run the True
Vector Service of Zone Alarm. You must reinstall Zone Alarm again in
order for it to work correctly because you upgraded from ME to XP. By
the way, you don't "download" XP, you "install" it.
