Laptop wirelessly connected to 3Com ADSL modem/router, desktop hard wired to
same.
Print server also connected to router.
After updating Zone Alarm laptop & desktop can't see each other and can't
print from laptop but can access internet from either.
Works OK with ZA turned off on both PC's.
In ZA zones on desktop I have:
Marvell Yukon Ethernet Adapter 192.168.1.3/255.255.255.0 Adapter Subnet
Internet
Loopback adapter 127.0.0.0 IP Address Trusted
Network 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.254 Trusted
In firewall Main tab I have Trusted Zone Security set to Medium.
XP firewall turned off.
On laptop identical settings except for 192.168.1.2 for IP address of
wireless adapter.
Desktop using XP Pro/SP2, laptop using XP Media Centre.
Have RTFM in ZA but can't get this to work right.
I'm assuming it's ZA settings since all works OK with it disabled, help with
this appreciated.

Since you feel the issue is with ZoneAlarm:

I'm not a network guru, but I do use Zone Alarm.
What's RTFM?

Re your loopback adapter: do you want to recheck your posting?
I have 127.0.0.1; 127.0.0.0 is invalid.

Agh! I must have been half asleep still not to see that one.

On the way in, I notice that he has the same thread going in
another XP group, with different answers. Hope he can sort
out the advice.

Thanks for the replies. Must admit to being a novice when it comes to
networking.
Took the easy way out and removed ZA and installed Comodo which is also
free. So far all seems well.
