Zone Alarm install error "ssleay32.dll" not found

Tried upgrading Zone Alarm this morning and this is what happened.
Called them because all internet connections were dead. They helped me
delete all VSDATA files and that got me back on the net.

However, after uninstalling ZA, I cannot install. I keep getting this
error. At the Zonelabs forum, I followed instruction on changing
regsvr and that did not help.

any ideas?

Should be C:\windows\system32 for xp.

Hey, that did it. Thanks very much. For years this .dll stuff has been
a sore thumb in the pc world...why is that?

Glad I could help.Tech support is pitiful these days.
As for regestering the dll file it must have been deleted.
Next time yoou need a firewall,try computer associates EZ firewall and
their antivirus.Firewall is a streamlined version of ZA and doesn't
eat up memory.
