Zone Alarm cuts off internet after a long inactivity period

When I don't use my PC for some time, eg overnight, when Zonealarm
would block my browser to public websites. So I can't get to Google
for example. But it does not block access to my office intranet via
VPN. Any idea why ? Thanks.

Which release/version of ZA are you running? Do you have the Internet Lock
set to activate? Have a look at Program Control/Main on the Automatic
Lock/Custom setting.

In the config in the ZA there is an option called Internet Lock. It sounds
like it is enabled with exceptions. Just disable it if you wish.
