zipped files?

i have found out that my files/photos etc WHICH I have backed up onto RW CD'S
are hidden away somewhere in folders called "ZIPPED and Compressed"?

I have tried and tried to reinstall the files back onto my PC but i cant?

I used Nero-backitup to back them up! but i no longer have nero on my
machine?(i found it would cost me too much money at this time) i've just
purchased XP Professional.and i had to have my machine throughaly cleaned
from a pirated version!

If they are zipped folders then you should be able to double click the
folder and extract the files with Win XP.

i tried what you said.But nothing worked?

I had a warning message saying "Windows media player cannot play the
file.The file is either corrupt or the player does not support the format you
are trying to play"?

From what you say it sounds like your files associations are messed up and
zip files have been associated with media player.
