ZIP password finder is a completely free tool to recover zip archive
passwords.

Don't tools like this void the reasons of using passwords in the first
place?

Not really. I was fairly happy to find such a tool since I have a zip file
at work that I marked with a password two years ago, and for the life of me
cannot crack the code now! (I must be really good at coming up with secure
passwords...)

Anyway, I can certainly see when this could come in handy on occasion.

Uh, sort of. Considering how long these programs take to crack even the
simplest password (I had one run for 7 hours once. Password was 4
letters plain Enlish), password protecting files is still useful even if
you can crack the PW. You have to REALLY REALLY want the data long
enough to wait for it.

Strong passwords, you will wait even longer and usually end up with the
result like "T????????????" (Yeah that helps - password is 12 letters
beginning with "T" - I'll get right on that!).
