Zip Files - Disappearing Folders

Yesterday I went into my folder and half my files were missing. A-N named
files were there and M-Z were gone. I found them in a folder called Zip
Files. When I told my boss he thought I had done something to cause this, but
I did nothing.

Today another person in the office came to me complaining some of her files
were missing. I looked in the same folder Zip Files and they were there.

Can anyone tell me what is going on?

What is the malware/virus status of the machines? If you think it is clean,
what programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?

While it might seem well, scanning alone with just your antivirus program is
not enough. Make sure you have a clean base by at least scanning for
non-viral malware. MalwareBytes' Antimalware or SuperAntiSpyware are good
programs and the free versions work fine.

If you are using a server make sure the server is clean, too.

Otherwise, what changed on both machines?
