Zip automatically

How can i zip a file automatically? including a password to make the zip.

ie. file c:\needstobezipped.txt autozip to c:\needstobezipped.zip using
password cool

any idea?

One option is to use a command line zip utility, such as the add-on you can
get for WinZip. You would then use the Shell function to call this utility.

Another option is to get a dll you can call that does the work. You can find
some information on these here.

These dont seem to be Free and have the ability to pass a password through

any ideas?

I haven't used the dlls. I have used the command line option for WinZip. It
will accept a password. It is free if you have purchased WinZip. The price
is fairly inexpensive.
