ZIF socket repair?

Is it possible to repair or replace a ZIF socket (I have an old CUSL2 with a
PGA370 socket) with a broken plastic tab for the heatsink? Would it be
easier to try and modify or find a heatsink that uses the wider plastic tabs
(it is one of the small opposing tabs usually used for the heatsink clip
that is broken) or to just use thermal cement to glue the HS to the CPU?

The easiest solution is to use a heatsink that has uses the outer clips.
