If the manufacturer of your CPU used any data from the Mayan calendar,
or mathematic formulas based on this calendar, to produce this chip,
(which some have), your computer will stop operating at exactly 11:11am
UTC on December 21, 2012. It's unknown exactly what will occur, but
it's suggested that it will reboot and just keep rebooting for eternity
or until it's disconnected from the power source. The other option is
that it will just turn off and simply refuse to restart. However, this
is the exact same time the world will end, so no one will ever know
which manufacturers used Mayan data in their computer chips.

If you happen to be the only survivor of the apocalypse, and your
computer stops working, be sure to call Intel, Apple, or whoever made
your CPU, and threaten to file a lawsuit against them. When calling
them, there may be long wait times on the phone, so be sure to stock up
on beer and pretzels before placing the call.

Notice, the US government has issued a statement that REQUIRES every
citizen to fasten their seatbelt, eleven minutes before the apocalypse
occurs in your time zone, and keep it attached until the end occurs.
Anyone violating this requirement, can and will be fined up to $10,000
and/or get up to one year in prison. If you do not have seatbelts in
your home or workplace, you MUST go to a vehicle equipped with them, and
attach them at the required time.

The times to "Click It or Ticket", are as follows.

6:00am Eastern standard time
5:00am Central standard time
4:00am Mountain standard time
3:00am Pacific standard time
2:00am Alaskan standard time
1:00am Hawaiian standard time

The apocalypse will occur 11 minutes later, so be prepared for the

By the way, is there a Mayan countdown clock available somewhere ?

I was hoping there would also be a satellite view of the earth
crumbling methodically from time zone to time zone. We can't all
die at different local times, now can we That's the problem
coordinating global disasters, getting the stated times for the
disaster just right.

[ Here, some Mayans work on getting their descending New Years Eve
ball working properly. I guess it won't hit the ground this year. ]

but I'll be darned, my computer quite right as the Mayan calendar ran
