Your registry might be corrupted. (Code 19)

I have a n IBM Thinkpad T21. I was trying to install an
exteran USB Micro Solutions Backpack CD-RW. It created an
error and would not work, so I removed it. Now I am
getting the following error on the "Your registry might be
corrupted. (Code 19)" I cannot access the drive. I have
tried uninstalling it as per the Microsoft Help screens.
Does anyone know how to get this back.
