I just reinstalld my copy of Windows XP Professional, but when i get prompted
to activate it, I get this message ("Your Product is already activated.") and
then it closes. It's done this to me every time i log on for the past 5
days, and its just been counting down from 30, to presumaly one when i dont
know what will happen.

Tried calling my manufacturer, (Gateway), but they referred me to the
activation line, who were abslutely worthless and didnt even listen to me. I
really dont want to pay $35 just to be able to use my copy of windows (fee MS
charges), anyone have any way to fix this?

That doesnt ehlp, because its contingent on being able to activate windos a
first time, I've yet to do that on this instal, it has said since I
reinstalled that my product is already activated.

Did you replace your Gateway motherboard with a
non-Gateway motherboard?

Possible solution:

Boot into "Safe Mode" by pressing F8 during the boot cycle.

Go to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 regwizc.dll , and hit enter.
Then go again to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 licdll.dll , and hit enter again.

Apparently, and I can't say how, the above files became unregistered.
