Your lights are on message in PowerPoint?

Hello,
We use PowerPoint for our Sunday Morning Services at my church. I have
been asked on a couple of occasions to put up a message for a short time.
The message might be "The red Toyota, license 123-ABF has its lights on." or
it might be "Would the parent of the child with id#654321 please come to the
nursery." The message should be small and out of the way enough to allow the
rest of the congragation to see the slides, but it needs to be large enough
to be noticed. I am considering PresentationPoint's TickerPoint program, but
I am unsure how easy it is to start and stop. Not to mention that I would
have to create a database to put the messages in and a front end to add/edit
them.
Does anyone know of a way to do this in PowerPoint, or an add-in that will
do what I want?

Hi Bill,
Great.
Does this let you continue with the show whilst the message is on display?
Or are you limited to the current slide?
cheers
Chris

Yes, of course.
