'you do not have the necessary permissions...' error message

Debbie

I tried to set up security and permissions for users and
groups and I've locked myself out of the database all
together. I have no idea how to reverse this. When
opening the database the error message reads: 'You do not
have the necessary permissions to use the (name of
database) object. Have your system administrator or the
person who created this object establish the appropriate
permissions for you.'
Please help.

You don't, unless you are lucky

I suggest you start by reading
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];207793

Access security is a great feature, but it is, by nature a complex product
with a very steep learning curve. Properly used it offers very safe
versatile protection and control. However a simple mistake can lock
everyone including God out.

With luck you have a backup copy or after reading the above a few times you
may remember what you did and may be able to get back in.
