you can install only one device at a time

this is the message i am getting on my laptop.
although i am not installing anything.
even after hard boot message still persists.
searched the microsoft database but nothing.

Something that was installed before probably didn't tell the computer is was
done. Look for a file called winint.exe and rename it wininit.old and
reboot. See if that fixes the problem.

closest have found is winnt.exe no other file similar

It might not be there, but just in case, make sure that you're seeing all
the hidden files.
