Recently I upgraded from FrontPage 97, Office 98 and
Windows 98 to FrontPage 2003, Office 2002 and Windows XP.
Somehow an entire website that I author has become
restricted. I received the above error message when
trying to browse the website. I have not created a
subsite or taken any steps to restrict access to any part
of this website. The site is published to a remote web
host using FTP. I've read many help files in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base on restricting subsites or an
entire website. On my FrontPage menu bar under Tools,
the option Server is blanked out--not available. Can
someone tell me how to fix this? Thanks

That option will only be available on a Server with FP Extensions
installed.
Contact your Provider regarding the error message you get.

Will upgrading from Windows XP Home Edition to Windows XP
Professional allow me to correct the permissions? Or
will I still need to have the FrontPage extensions
installed?

WinXP Pro with IIS and FP server extensions installed will allow you to open
the remote web site, and change permissions *if the host allows it*. Many
do not.

Contact your host.
