YET ANOTHER "which version" question for ya'll

Ok, I'll get to the point:

2 computers: -Turion 64 -AMD 5000+x2... dual core or whatever the heck that
is.

Turion 64 computer: OS is XP Home, intention is to dualboot XP home with
Vista 64

AMD 5000+ computer: OS is XP Pro, intention is to wipe computer and install
a version of vista that supports, not only 64 bit, but dual core or multiple
processors, or whatever I have.... I heard from someone that Only Ultimate
supported anything more than a single core, single processor.

Which versions do I want for these computers, and do I want the upgrade, or
full package? I do not understand the concept of that yet, especially
depending on whether I format, dual boot, upgrade.. yadayadayada.. So many
ways you could install Vista.... I don't get it. So perhaps someone could
answer my setup question for me.

Thanks in advance!

There is no limit on how many cores a processor has when it comes to vista
installation. You will have no problem with your current system
configuration. If you have multiple cpu chips in your system then you have to
look at the vista business or above versions. Keep in mind that what ever
versions of vista you DO pick, You will need to buy an individual liscense
for each system, and there needs to be a qualifying product on each system,
at service pack 2, activated on each system. The family plan where you buy
one vista ultimate retail, and then get up to 2 vista home premium liscenses
for 50$ each. Seemed like a decent deal, and one I will probably do. Your
direction may vary.
