64 bit won't install - yet, 32 bit did ????

I have a 64 bit dual core box. Vista is the first OS this one has ever had.
It refused to install the 64 bit version of Beta 2. It did install the 32
bit version. How do I get it to install the 64 bit version? Steven

That probably depends on why it refused. If you have any details of that to
post here (surely it gave an error message?) it will greatly improve
people's chances of understanding why it happened.

I'll start by saying that the 64 bit operating systems are far fussier with
things like driver requirements - Does Vista 64 have drivers for all your
hardware?
