Yet another Outlook problem

Hello all. I have Outlook 2003 installed on an XP Pro SP2 machine and
am having yet another problem with Outlook. When I either click on the
"X" to end the application or I pull down the file menu and click on
"Exit", the program seems to exit but the little envelope icon at the
right side of the task bar stays around. When I go into task manager I
find "outlook.exe" still running. I tried restarting Outlook and
exiting again but the behavior is the same. Can't Microsoft get
anything right? I swear, maybe I should be thankful...as long as
Microsoft keeps writing buggy crap I'll never be out of a job. Anyone
have any ideas on this one?

Most likely not Microsoft, but a 3rd-party add-on. Try starting Outlook
in Safe Mode [Start | Run | type 'outlook /safe' (without the
apostrophe)] and see if the same thing still happens.
