I am having the same problem sending e-mails. We have a new computer and use
wireless internet. I have read a few entries on this site and saw one about
accidently connecting to a neighbour's wireless connection. Here is the
error message we are getting:
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.
The rejected e-mail address was 'removed for (e-mail address removed)'.
Subject 'pics', Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '501 need user@domain at <removed for
(e-mail address removed)>', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 501, Error
Number: 0x800CCC79
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
