I am having the same problem sending e-mails. We have a new computer and use
wireless internet. I have read a few entries on this site and saw one about
accidently connecting to a neighbour's wireless connection. Here is the
error message we are getting:

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was 'removed for (e-mail address removed)'.
Subject 'pics', Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '501 need user@domain at <removed for
(e-mail address removed)>', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 501, Error
Number: 0x800CCC79

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you also have Vista Brian? We are new to it and I am wondering if it is a
common problem with Vista.

The 501 code means you had an incorrectly formatted email address.
However, you blocked out the email addresses, so there is not much help we can give.
email addresses can not include a space or a / or many other symbols.
Check the address again.
