After googling and experimenting for a couple of hours
here I am - stuck with a well known problem:
the menu bar is missing in Windows Explorer
For that, Microsoft suggests deleting the keys
ITBarLayout
in the registry. In my case, it wouldn't help.
Since I save the registry regularly, I also re-activated
the registry I had two years ago when my PC was bought.
It wouldn't help: Windows Explorer still sported no menu.
My conclusion is that the problem is not registry related
but is caused by some updates.
Any ideas what that could be?
