that usually means that windows has detected the device but hasn't finished
installing it because it couldn't get the drivers or something else
happened. if it is a device you want to use the easiest way is to remove it
from the device manager and reboot, then windows will redetect it and start
the automatic installation process.
They are commonly called bangs, and they indicate a
conflict or driver problem. Installing current drivers for
the indicated device should fix this.
You may not realize there is a problem because it is very
common for motherboard periferals to lack native driver
support, and function seemingly well.
