Yellow pop-up notes?

I have an excel file someone created for me. When I go into a cell (by
tabbing or clicking into it) a yellow pop-up note appears telling me specific
info about the cell.

Well, it's anoying and I'd like to turn it off or stop it?

It's not a Comment message (Insert|Comment) to where I can select it and
delete. It looks more like something other??

Any suggestions?

It could be a Validation Message: Go to 'Data' on the menu bar, choose
'Validation', click on the 'Input Message' tab, and uncheck 'Show input
message when cell is selected'.
