Yahoo POP3 problems

My friend has a Yahoo mail account and wants to use Outlook 2003 to access
it using the POP3 service.

I've followed the instructions on Yahoo to configure Outlook but I just
can't get it to work. It connects OK but will not send or receive e-mail.

Is this a known problem or have I done something wrong?

If I remember correctly, Yahoo requires you to purchase their premium email
service ($20/year) before you can use Outlook to check it.
