yahoo messenger

Hi, I am at a lose with what can be the solution for my issue, so any help is
appreciated.
I have always had yahoo messenger on my machine and never had any problems
with it, until recently. It will not sign in. I have turned my computer off
and made sure everything is pluged in tightly. I have made sure a firewall
wasn't blocking it, I have made sure it was listed in my exceptions, and I
have uninstalled and reinstalled. The only thing that was different when I
signed out of it the last time I was able to use it was that i signed into my
phone. I had already done this a few times without any trouble. I managed to
sign into yahoo via web and that took my off my phone, but I can no longer
even sign into messenger via web.
Any help????

Umm.. sign out of "My Phone" and see if you can sign in to Yahoo? It
could woik! It's possible you can't be signed into both at the same time.

I was having the same problem and from reading yahoo answers on the sight
(yahoos) it has become a very common problem. I removed and retried d/ling
but still to no avail. Not much help here , I just removed it permanently
from my comp and went back to Windows Live Messenger.
