y axis label problem

I have a Sony VAIO VGN-A200 laptop.

My Excel charts' y axis label is truncated at high resolution but is not at
low resolution. A Microsoft Knowledge Base article for another application
suggests this can happen when the ratio of horizontal size to vertical size
of the display is greater than 4:3, which 1280 x 800 resolution is. That,
presumably is why 800 x 600 resolution works.

Does anyone know of a video driver or other fix that will display the y axis
label correctly?

You can add SPACE SPACE PERIOD to the end of the Y axis label and change the
font color of the PERIOD to white to get it to display properly on the page.

The problem with that solution is that it will display the space and period
on a normal aspect monitor.

My temporary fix is to set the display setting to 1280 x 1024 instead of
1280 x 800. But then, I have to scroll the screen sometimes to get at the
part that is no longer displayed.
