XPSP2 > alert in Security Center

WinXP, post SP2, Security Center reports me Norton AntiVirus (2003) is
installed but it not possible to have its status, should I check the option
"I have an antivirus program that I'll monitor myself" or what?

Yes, since it seems Norton is not making the appropriate updates for
versions 2003 and older.
