XPpro/2Kpro ok but 2 times XPhome machines shows pptp 721 error ?

Hi,

PPTP connection from 2000pro and XPpro appear to work ok.

I have 2 XP home machines however that are showing error 721. I know this is
kind of a general error but can anyone speculate about what may be the
problem ?

As i say XP pro and 2K pro appear to be fine.

My XP home machine im testing from does not have any service packs or
updates (i.e fresh install).

in addition:

from a cmd prompt i enter "telnet <public ip> 1723" and get a connection
from this machine.
