XPe on Geode Processor

I'm working on a wearable computing project and I want to use XPe as
operating system. Power consumption is of course an important issue because
I have to use batteries to support the computer.

The Lippert RoadRunner II with 300Mhz Geode processor seems to be suitable
for my application, as it only needs about 1Amp / 5V. Do anyone of you know
if this processor-board including the peripherial units (Network, VGA, TFT)
supports XPe without serious hacking?

Lippert card:

Any other suggestions for low-power processor card supporting XPe?

I don't know about this particular board, but we're using
a geode processor for our application.

Joakim,

Should be no problems for the base features of that board. The audio on
Geode boards can sometimes be troublesome, but NS has decent support for
most of the chipset features. You have to sign an NDA and join their
developer group, but after that you can get to the secure drivers site and
get packages for XPe.

Be aware of the performance of these boards though. You not going to get
blazing speed to run apps, or great video quality from the C&T graphics
adapter. It should work well if your using a custom shell and can whittle
XPe down to a relatively small footprint.

Ok. Thats fine.
Can you tell me anything about your processor board - brand/name etc.
Do you run XPe from CF or from disk?

I am searching for a PC/104 processor board with support for:
VGA and TFT
CF (internally or trough IDE)
General purpose I/O
10/100 Ethernet
USB 1.1

The board should also run WindowsXPe

It's a Nova 4898N

a Flash module which plugs directly into the IDE
connector. The board also has a laptop sized IDE connector
and a DOC adaptor, though I never got it booting from a
DOM, and a CF adaptor underneath.

I believe it does both.
CF (internally or trough IDE)

Four serial ports.
10/100 Ethernet
Yep.

USB 1.1
I think that's one of the options we didn't ask for.
