Does anyone know if XPE will follow the proposed discontinuation dates of the
other XP options?

(Apologies if this is not the right thread.)

Thanks. But how does this relate to the last time XPE is available for
purchase? (cf the latest reports on standard XP)

Or, given that it is downloadable, is it available for the period of the
support cycle?

XPe is part of a different business and licensing group than XP Pro. XP
Embedded. will be supported for 10 years based on the last release. Right
now it will be around until 2017, unless another release is made. You can
also purchase XP Pro for embedded, but there are licensing restrictions.

XP Pro will go away for the desktop, but XPe and XP Pro for embedded will
continue for some time.

You should contact your local Microsoft distributor for details on XPe and
XP Pro for Embedded.
