XP2800 temp always at 50c

Hi,
have changed my HSF from a Coolermaster HAV-V81 X-Dream to a Thermaltake
Silent Boost(2450 rpm), 27.5cfm.
Now the CPU temp does not go lower than 49c idle or 52c under load.
The only reason I changed was because of the noise from the other HSF when
running at around 3200 rpm.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?.

Have you tried using both fans on it at the same time ? -if theyre the
same size? bodge the old fan ontop of the new one and wire it to 5 volts to
keep it quiet.

-that type of thing, some experimental bodging
