Hi All,

We are just about to release our version of XP which has been locked down
quite serverly. What i would like to know is does XP have the following
software as standard, i.e. would users be able to use these camaras Plug 'N'
Play without installing the manufacturers software?

Camaras: Sony, Fuji, Olympus.
Scanner: Cannon.
External Drives: Iomega.

Is there anyway i can get information of what XP has as regards Non Windows
Software?

Any information would be greatly received.

With regards to using the cameras they will show up as removable drives as
soon as they are attached via usb. Assuming that the xp installation isn't
locked down so much that it restricts removable drives.

Not sure about the other devices

These things will probably look to the OS like mass storage devices,
and XP has builtin drivers for USB mass storage devices. It would be
easy to find out: plug one into an XP system with no
manufacturer-specific software installed.

Scanner: Cannon.

You'll need to load a driver for your scanner.
