I am having trouble setting up my WordPad so that when I want to retype a
word, the letters to the right also move along with the new letters that I
am typing. Where do I click to get this function turned on? THANKS

You mean toggling insert/overwrite mode using the "insert" key?

Have you tried pressing the Insert key on your keyboard to toggle from
overwrite to insert mode?

Hope this helps..

This has nothing to with Wordpad or with any application program.
It's a system-wide setting. The Insert key toggles it on and off,
changing from what's called Insert mode to Overstrike mode. You
want Insert mode.
