XP wont see new CD

Hi: I installed a new CDRW and at the same time put in a 40x CD. I only had
a CDRW in the computer before The 40x is the D drive and is seen by WinXP.
The CDRW, the slave, Does not appear on Explorer. Yet Nero sees it as the E:
drive and an audio CD plays. Device manager sees the drives and says both
are working. I've tried refreshing the Explorer view - nothing. Any ideas
please?
Thanks

You may have to check to see if you have both designated as "master" or
both as "slave" drives. Check the setup manual for Jumper possition. That
could make explorer see just one drive.

Other than this you could try deleting both drives and then reinstalling
them --one at a time.

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its My Computer - Drives page ensure that all letters are checked
