XP won't recognize second hard drive

I installed a second hard drive today and Windows XP won't recognize it at
all. My original disk is a Western Digital 80gb and the second disk that I
just installed is the same model. I know that the computer will recognize the
drive because it shows up in the computer's setup, but I can't access it on
Windows XP. After the disk itself plus the mount and ribbon cable, the whole
thing comes out to $110, so I really want to get this thing working.

I'm ok now; I was able to correct this problem by using PartitionMagic 8 to
create an NTFS partition on the drive.

You can do the same thing with Computer Management under Administrative
Tools in Control Panel.

Administrative Tools> Computer Management> Disk Management
Create a partition and format it. It will then show up in Explorer/My
Computer.
