Hey Dom,
I am not aware of any known issues such as the one you've described, Most
applications installed on XP will end up requiring admin rights for the
install. You might try going to a site called "
www.sysinternals.com" and
downloading 2 utilities called "Filemon" and "Regmon" With these "real
time" utilities you can create a log when the error occurs. Once the logs
have been created look for any instances of an "ACCDENIED" in the logs.
This will give you an indication of what we are trying to access when we
are failing. You can use this information to either open up permissions on
that reg key/directory or use that info to open up a support incident with
us.

| Long story .... smoked a CPU and motherboard .... fan failed ... both
replaced by CompUSA (covered - no $$$)
Upgraded to larger HD .... they (CompUSA) installed HD and reloaded XP Pro
... came with original PC
I'm in the process of installing the rest of my software and came across
this Outlook problem.
Installed Office 2000 all OK except .... Outlook message comes up that I
need Admin rights .... I am designated Admin.
Also, I did install other programs ... Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator etc
with no problem
Any Thoughts???
Thanks
Dom
