xp will not connect to internet

I have added an xp pro machine to a router connected to broadband. I
ran the connection wizard and it shows the connection established.
However, neither web nor email will connect to server. I know the
hardware is ok because I connect to the other pc's on the network ok.
LAN repair button and winipcfg did not help. Under properties, it
shows the connection working.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Try running a program like Hijack This. I had the same problem on a laptop
that allowed me to ping everything by IP and host name but could not get a
web page loaded. Problem ended up being a web site loading up and not
allowing IExplorer to get to the net. Hijack this is a necessary tool these
days.
