Sue,
It may not be possible to bypass this feature if you have
multiple users on the computer. If you want to set it up
so that anyone can use it without having to sign in
again, then go into control panel, select user accounts,
remove all the users except you(the administer) be sure
and set the guest user off, then select "change the way
users logon or logoff", check both boxes (use the welcome
screen, and use fast user switching) then apply the
options and close all the windows. It should work fine
thenext time you start. I am not sure if it matters that
the "use fast user switching" is checked or not since
there will only be one user, but I have it checked and it
works fine that way.
Good luck,
Jim

You can set up your computer to log on automatically by
following these steps:

1) Click Start>Run then type:
control userpasswords2
and press Enter. Doing so launches the Windows 2000-style
User Accounts application.

2) On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User
Name And Password To Use This Computer check box and then
click OK. The Automatically Log On dialog box appears.

3) Type the user name and password for the account that
you want to be logged on each time you start your
computer.

After you make this change, you can use other accounts on
the computer by logging off and then logging on to another
account or by using Fast User Switching.

Hope this helps!
