If I buy the latest version of XP Pro will I still need to
download all of those fixes and patches? We do not have
broadband access where I live.
 
Yes, The latest that you can buy includes Windows XP Service Pack 1. You
will still have to download all of the updates.
 
Yes.. You need to updated those new critical patches. XP
don't have with the new patches.

You can order their CD from microsoft.com

It *probably* will come with Service Pack 1, but you can never be
sure. Some sources may have older stock still for sale.

You will certainly need to install all the post-SP1 patches.
