xp upgrade cant find my me

bought the upgrade because I cant get Me to work-and lost
the setup discs I got from Dell-now installation can't
find Me on my machine and wants the ME disc I don't have-
what to do?

and purchase the "full version".

Try to make a boot CD using your ME files still on your HDD. Use it as
'qualifying OS.'
Otherwise, borrow a win98 CD - there should be a few millions arround.
