XP Updates

Is there some way of downloading the updates to a folder so that the updates
can be copied to a CD? And if so, how would we then install the updates?
We often format and find that the Updates don't download/install properly.

Microsoft has released "Win Update 2004 English NA Feb Direct 2CD Windows Security Kit".
It contains all security updates through October 2003 for Windows 98,
98SE, Millennium, 2000 and XP.
