Is Windows XP SP2 installed.

Where are you getting your information from?

You have to update the BOIS and then update the Chipset driver it will fix
the problem.

This happens when I connect the device. A baloon tip pops up telling me that
I'm plugging a High Speed device into a slow port.

I'm not entilrely sure, but it might have happened since updated my BIOS.
Strange.

Is the Windows XP SP2 update installed?

What device are you trying to connect?

What is your computer make and model?

Found the "problem"... The JUSB1 connectors on the motherboard are
documented as USB 2.0, but they're acctually USB 1.1. There're other 2
connectors JUSB3 and JUSB4 which are briefly mentioned, nearly undocumented,
and they are the real USB2 (a NEC hub connected to the PCI bus).
It's not XP, it is the Manual of the motherboard...
