eHave read severl threads but still not able to resolve. Networking Windows
XP Home with Windows 2000 system. Both are connected to wireless router
through adaptors and have also connected with ethernt crossover cable, but
have been unable to establish connection.

Would appreciate if someone could walk me through the setup. Primary
objective is to share printers connected to both systems. file sharing of
secondary importance.

Thanks,
Rick

Since we don't know what you've already done and what exactly works
(does "unable to establish connection" mean to the Internet, to the
lan, or to both?), here are some links to help you. Start with the
network troubleshooter by MVP Hans-Georg Michna which will help
pinpoint the source of the trouble. Remember that in a mixed network,
you must create identical user accounts and passwords on both machines,
share out desired resources, and make sure permissions are set
correctly on those shares. Make sure all firewalls are configured to
allow lan traffic and that you are not inadvertently running two
firewalls on the XP box (since SP2 automatically enables the Windows
Firewall).
