XP Task Bar and Theme

I am stuck in old style task abr and can not make any changes to theme? How
do I get XP task bar back and away from the old style?

Even down loading new theme I can not change away from current.

the old one is way better.. but anyways.. go to control panel, system,
performance, display click 'adjust for best apearance' and voila. if no
dice then go to control panel/display and under one of those tabs you
can change to the xp theme.

I reied them all it is still stuck in classic.

I tried them all it is still stuck in classic.

One other thought.. A Customized setting under Start Menu properties,
Start Menu tab, Classic, Customize may need to be deselected before you
can change over to "Start menu". De-select all options in Classic menu,
restart, then try to switch over. Just an idea.. shot-in-the-dark..
