xp system shutdown suddenly happens

Re-installed windows xp then began using but get a
sudden "System shutdown" screen "...by NT
Authority/system...due to remote procedure call (RPC)
service is terminated unexpectedly"

Help?
 
Have w32.blaster worm or one of its variants. Check with
your antivirus provider for fixes and also download
latest security patches from microsoft which would of
prevented this.
 
Sounds like you may have been bitten by the MSBlaster worm or the Welchia
worm.

You need to d/load and install Security patch KB824146, available here:
