XP System 32 missing files

I have had problems with my registry and have run Norton
Win Doctor - this reports the following message
Missing File"C:\Windows\System32\MAPRISVR.EXE" cannot
access a necessary file, "gapi32.dll."

How should I deal with this the win doctor programme
cannot fix it. My OEM supplier sugested re installing XP
but this did not cure the problem

WinDoctor cannot fix the error "'C:\WINNT\System32\MAPISRVR.EXE'

The gapi32.dll file can be found on your Microsoft Office
installation CD.
