XP stops prompting to save passwords

XP has lately stopped prompting myself and a friend to
save passwords/info when we visit websites. Is this
because of one of the latest security updates, or is this
some setting that XP decided we didnt need at this time
anymore ( you know, how it assumes it "knows" you and
your habits)---any help would be appreciated.....thanks

Verify that IE is set to prompt for passwords by doing the following.
Select Tools -> Internet Options on the IE Menu.
Navigate to Content -> Autocomplete...there is a setting here "Prompt me to
save passwords."
