When a user (my friend) logs into her computer it takes FOREVER to Apply
personal settings or whatever. Other users arnt having this problem, im sure
it has something to do with loading programs in memory or something, but its
just such a long time. I ran MSConfig and unchecked everything that shouldnt
be there, ran newest version of Adaware. did a defrag, installed all newest
updates from MS, even did a repair on windows, and still slow. any ideas?

Also, on another workstation, where XP loads it goes really slow on the
black loading screen. where there is a progress bar at the bottom of it,
User cannot remember what he/she did when it first started doing it,
reinstalled/repair. no help. thinking of doing a format, but dont want to do
that because he doesnt want to loose anything. any help?

Thanks
Mike

Her profile may simply be to big, and there be to many customizations.

the HD light isnt hitting until like 45 secs after i hit login.

its like it isnt even trying to access it.. any idea?
