XP SP2

I recently installed SP2 three time and had the same result from automatic
update and using the CD sent by microsoft. After installing I could not use
internet explorer, Start- settings- control panel It would not open! Any
help files needing HTML would not open. I turned off all programs spyware
-ad aware- virus- firewall verizons online control pad etc. before
installing. I had no alternative but to uninstall and go back to SP1.

ANY HELP out there
 
Did you try turning off the Firewall or add IE as exception in Windows
Firewall.
